Inscription

Charles Drury the son of Lawson and Elizabeth {Johnson} Drury. Lawson is a native of Worcester County Massachusetts. Charles came to Missouri and was the second merchant in Montgomery County located at Loutre Lick, but he moved to Danville in 1834. He married Sally A Wiseman of Boone County Missouri a daughter of James Wiseman and Mary Tuttle. Their children were: Lawson, James H, Susan B born in Danville married Dr. Williams B Adams, Charles J, Jarrett, Joseph, Andrew M, Richard B, Mary E married Capt. Stuart Carkener of Danville and Elizabeth. Five children: James, Jarrett, Joseph married Elizabeth Robinson of Callaway County, Andrew and Elizabeth died unmarried.
Son Lawson first married Margaret Frazier and then married Catharine Wilson.
