Victim. On April 30th, 1983, Marie was last seen on S216th and Pacific Highway South. Her boyfriend had witnessed Marie getting into a truck. Sensing that something may be wrong, Marie's boyfriend attempted to follow the truck, but lost it at an intersection. Days later, the boyfriend reported to police that he found the truck parked at a house less then a half-mile away. The house belonged to Gary Ridgway. When questioned by police, Gary denied having anything to do with Marie's disappearance, and police saw no reason to further investigate. Marie's remains were found 30 years later in 2003. She was found in a ravine on 65th Avenue South in Auburn. She was found near one other victim. Gary Ridgway confessed to Marie's murder in 2003 and led investigators to her remains. Marie was eighteen years old. A murder victim of Gary Leon Ridgway, known as "The Green River Killer" who was responsible for the murders of 49 women in Seattle, Washington, between 1982 and 1984.
