Milan, MI--Age 70, died Thursday evening, Sept. 14, 1989, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He was born on Oct. 11, 1918 in Burt, MI, the son of John and Nora (Blodgett) Long. On November 23, 1940, he married Aliera Sackett in Monroe, Co, and she survives. Mr. Long was employed with the American Foundry, Milan for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Milan and the Milan Senior Citizens. Survivors besides his wife include a son of Saline; a daughter of Milan; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one brother. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Milan, with the Rev. Gilbert M. Croll officiating. Burial will follow in Marble Park Cemetery, Milan. Friends may call at the Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. This evening, 2-9 p.m. Saturday, and at the church on Sunday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
