Jean M. Baldwin, 91, died on Oct. 5, 2010, at Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 20, 1919, the daughter of Phillip J. and Clara C. (Sponhouse) Koch in Williamsport, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merald E. Baldwin, who passed away Dec. 10, 1985, and a daughter, Nancy Lambert.
She was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, enlisted on February 22, 1943, as a U.S. Navy Wave and left her service in February 1944 at the rank of Yeoman-2nd Class. Later retired from nursing at West Jersey Hospital, Voorhees, N.J. in 1981.
She was a member of the First Church of Christ (Disciples).
She is survived by daughters, Patricia Ash, Tucson, Ariz. and Pamela La Flamme of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; two sons, Richard Troutman and Robert Troutman, both of Williamsport.; sister, Barbara Bowes of Williamsport and five grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jean's Life Celebration service 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., with Rev. Kenneth Weiss officiating. Interment will follow at Montoursville Cemetery.
