Thelma Brzezinski, 77, Krakow, died Friday morning, April 22, 2011, at her home following a long and courageous battle with cancer. The daughter of Roy and Alice (Stacey) Murphy was born June 7, 1933, in Taylor County. Thelma graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Marshfield, and worked as a Registered Nurse at Community Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls for many years.

In January of 1956, she married Edward Brzezinski. The couple made their home in Krakow, where they lived all of their married life. Thelma was an avid reader. She enjoyed gardening and loved to travel with family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Judith Brzezinski, and a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher (Marlene) Brzezinski, all of Krakow. She is also survived by six sisters and one brother, June Clouse, Loveland, Colo.; Velda Schulte, Spring Valley, Minn.; Helen Eron, Hatley; Eleanor Langjahr, Unity; Patricia Pecher, Stetsonville; Grace Pecher, Marshfield; and Clifford Murphy, Warren, Mich.; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Brzezinski, in 1983; her parents; infant twin brothers, Roy and Donald; and a sister, Norma.

Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Funeral Service will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, Deacon Nick Williams officiating, with burial in St. Casimir Cemetery, Krakow.
