The Daily Press, Escanaba, Michigan, Friday, February 6, 1953:
Mrs. Iona Whybrew quietly marked her 83rd birthday anniversary Tuesday at her home at 1415 Minnesota Avenue. In fact the day was spent a little more quietly than would have been liked for both Mrs. Whybrew and her daughter, Mrs. Theodore Minor, who make their home together, were ill with the flu.
Record Eagle, Traverse City, Michigan, Saturday, May 17, 1958:
Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Ona (sic) Whybrew of Gladstone, a well known former resident of Mayfield, which occurred May 13. Funeral services were held Friday.
