Mrs. Lona Rachel Lane
Gate City, Va.—Mrs. Lona Rachel Lane, wife of Worley C. Lane, died at the home on Hiltons Highway at 4 a.m. Friday.
A native of the Hiltons section, she was a lifelong resident of Scott County and was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Samuel Penley and Priscilla Price Penley.
Survivors are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Jack Johnson and Mrs. Trave Mann of Kingsport and Mrs. Grace Bruner, Indianapolis, Ind.; two sons, Hubert (Jake) Lane,Evanston, Wyo., and Grover Lane of Gate City; four sisters, Miss Sarah Penley, Gate City, Mrs. Bill Henry, Snowflake, Va., Mrs. Kelly Lane and Mrs. Ira Luster, Kingsport; five brothers, Rufus and Enochs of Kingsport, Worley, Malcolm and Kelly of Gate City.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending word of relatives.
Burial will be in Holston View Cemetery, and services will be at Gateway Baptist Church.
