The inscription reads : "In loving memory of Sybil Dickens, born 1 Oct. 1889 - died 1 May 1934, and her dear husband Philip Charles Dickens, born 11 Oct 1887 - died 4 Oct. 1964." They are buried next to Philip's father, Henry Fielding Dickens, who was himself the last surviving child of Charles Dickens (qq.v.).
