Sindy Michelle Cox, 26, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, in a local hospital as a result of an automobile accident that also took the life of her beloved pet, Midnight.

Sindy's paternal grandfather, Frank B. Cox Sr. preceded her in death.

She is survived by her mother, Jackie B. Cox of Palmyra; her father, Blake Cox and his wife, Nelda Lucas, of Richmond; a brother, Lee of Richmond, and his son, Tyler Daniels; a stepsister, Janet Lafoon of New York City; and a step brother, David Lucas of Mechanicsville. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Nona Cox of Richmond; and maternal grandparents, Fitz Lea and Marian Boisseau of Charlottesville.

Sindy was a graduate of Albemarle High School, Piedmont Virginia Community College with an Associates Degree in general studies and was attending the University of Richmond.

A funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at Hill & Wood Chapel, with the Rev. Bruce Goldsmith officiating.


The family received friends Friday Dec. 17, 2004, at Hill & Wood Funeral Home.
