She was born June 25, 1946 in Logan, Utah to Dewayne L. Baxter and Leona Baxter. She graduated from South Cache High School and attended USU and the University of Utah.
Tonnya loved to surround herself with her beloved animals and books. Loved nature to it's fullest, spending many days hiking through wilderness areas. She was dedicated to both her work and co-workers, and was loved and appreciated by all those who knew her.
Survived by beloved friend and confidant Jerry Jenkins, siblings, Robert L. Baxter (Dorothy), Sharon Ashton (Lynn), Sheila Egan (Rick), many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents.
A chapel service and viewing will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hyrum City Cemetery, Hyrum, Utah.
