Cassopolis: Wilfred H. Parren, 92, of Cassopolis passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at the Cass County Medical Care Facility.
There will be no visitation or service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Three Oaks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan is serving the family. Mr. Parren was born May 12, 1909, in Three Oaks, the son of Albert and Rozella Versaw Parren. He farmed in Jefferson Township, Cass County for many years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.
On June 28, 1930, he married Ruth Ione Moore. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2000. He was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne, in 1933; his parents; three sisters; and a granddaughter, Wendy Shadler.
He is survived by a son, Leon H. Parren; a daughter, Anita Parren Shadler; and three granddaughters -- Constance Newman of Stevensville, Michele Olson of St. Joseph and Christine Parren of Knoxville, Tenn. He also leaves a great-grandson, Scott Olson; and several nieces and nephews.
