On January 21, 2007, the earthly journey of Rev Willie Frank Timmons (87) ended. Rev. W.F. Timmons is the son of the late Willie Timmons and the late Josephine Hurst Timmons of Beechwood (Lowndes County) Alabama.

Rev. W. F. Timmons was educated in the public schools of Lowndes County. He attended Lowndes County Training School and Lomax- Hannon Seminary for Methodist Ministers. He Served as a Pastor of the following CME churches; Hall Memorial, Slader, Ranbow, Pleasant Hill, Hillard,Moses Chapel. and Wright Chapel.

The Homegoing Celebration will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 10:00 A.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 1142 Rosa Park Avenue, Rev. C.B. Croskery, Pastor. Minster Judy Ware, Officiating.

Rev. Willie Frank Timmons is survived by a wife of 67 years, Louise Searight Timmons. Five sons; Jesse Herbert Timmons, Jimmy (Juliet) Timmons, Willie Frank (Joyce) Timmons of Flint, Michigan; James (Alfreda) Timmons of Houston, Texas; and Albert Timmons of Atlanta, Georgia. Four Daughter: Annie Pearl Boiling, Susie (Deacon Bob) Heard, Minister Judy (Rev. Melvin) Ware of Fayetteville, Georgia and Cheryl Pattersn of Fayetteville, Georgia.

He is also survived by two special family friends Wilma Taylor Timmons and John Charles Boiling.

Rev. Willie Frank Timmons leaves behind seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

He is survived by one brother Johnny (Otheller Rudolph) Timmons of Hayneville, Alabama.

Two brothers, Joe Timmons and Elliott Timmons, and one sister, Ethel Lee Timmons Key preceded him in death.

The Body will lie in state at Zion Hill Baptist Church one hour prior to the funeral. The body will be laid to rest at Mount Moriah No.1 Church Yard Cemetery in Gordonville, Alabama.
