Aged 32 years. He was a Colonel in the North Carolina State Militia. He was a merchant and member of the Legislature. Married Elizabeth Ellerbe of Chesterfield County, South Carolina. Only had one child Ellerbe Boggan Crawford Cash. He died when his son was two years old and his wife moved back to Chesterfield County, South Carolina.

Note: According to a 1939 cemetery survey of Eastview, he is the son of James and Frances Boggan Cash. Survey located in the Family Records Collection of the State Archives.
