BERTHA L. PEARSON, 92, formerly of Whittier, died Saturday morning in Riverside Manor, Ames, where she had been a resident for the past four years.

She was born Nov. 25, 1894, at Whittier, and married Ralph Pearson on Feb. 21, 1921, at Lisbon. He died in 1972. Mrs. Pearson had lived at Meth-Wick Manor in Cedar Rapids from 1974 to 1983 before moving to Ames. She was a member of the United Methodist church in Springville.

Surviving are two sons, Norman of Fremont, Iowa, and James of Ames; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, United Methodist Church, Springville by the Rev. Neal Allen. Burial: Springville Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Murdoch Chapel in Marion.
