Richard G. Fort, 68, of Anderson, died April 16, 2011, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 3, 1943 in Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Fort and Dorothy (Puckett) Fort Carey.
He married Barbara Vaughn. She survives. He is also survived by his children, Richard S. Fort and partner, Talema Allen, of Anderson, Gina (Mike) McVey of Anderson and Nicole (Chris) Miskel of Sydney, Australia; brothers, Charles Edward (Sharon) Fort of Knightstown and Kenneth (Jayne) Fort of Roswell, Ga.; five grandchildren, Justin Fort, Jennifer Fort and Michael McVey, all of Anderson, and Sage Miskel and Mace Miskel, of Australia; four great-grandchildren, Chayse, Maddox, Greyson and Chloe and several nieces and nephews.
