Andrew Peter Anderson, 88, an early settler in the Washington Colony area and the father of Dr. Harold F. Anderson, a Fresno dentist, died today in a local sanitarium. He had been In failing health for some time. Anderson came fo the Washington Colony, now Easton, about 56 years ago and, at the time of his death, still maintained his home at Elm and Humboldt Avenue. In his earlier years, he was a carpenter and cabinet maker and later was a farmer. He retired from active farming about five years ago.
He was born near Gothenburg, Sweden and came to the United States about 70 years ago. He was a member of the Easton Presbyiterian Church.
in addition to Dr. Anderson, he is survived by another son, Richard, and two daughters, Mrs. A. E. Carlson and Mrs. John Zetterlund. Also, by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
