Elinor was born June 8, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Earl & Mildred (Plaehn) Boelcke. She moved to Baroda at the age of 16 and graduated from Baroda High School. On February 28, 1948 she married Vincent "Vic" Zandarski in Berrien Springs and had just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. Elinor loved the simple life. She enjoyed taking family camping trips up north. She loved helping her husband on their vegetable farm and enjoyed the trips to the fruit market to sell their produce and chat with the other farmers. Every day she sat in her favorite chair in the dining room and looked out at the birds and her flowers. She loved the family get-togethers. She was especially famous for her apple pie, cabbage rolls and chop suey. She enjoyed having her children and grandchildren stop by on a daily basis to visit.
Elinor is survived by her husband Vincent "Vic" Zandarski of Stevensville; children Bob Zandarski of Buchanan, Ann (Roy) Duffield of Stevensville, Ken (Michele) Zandarski of Benton Harbor, Joe Zandarski of Bridgman, and Joan (Dana) D'Agostino of Bridgman; nine grandchildren: Amy, Laura, Vickie, Ashley, Elizabeth, Veronica, Scott, Toni, and Andrew; six great grand-children; three brothers: John, Earl, and Henry Boelcke; and many nieces and nephews. Elinor was preceded in death by her parents, son Vince Jr. in 1984, and two grandchildren Bobby Jr. & Kenny Jr.
