PEACE --EVERLASTING CAME TO AGED MOTHER - Word was received here Thursday of the death of Mrs Hannah Allen wife of N.D. Allen of near Wilgus, which occurred Monday morning at an early hour. Her death was due to pneumonia.
Mrs Allen was a highly esteemed and dearly beloved old lady. All who knew her loved her. She was a faithful wife and a kind and loving mother. always self sacrificing for her husband, her children and neighbors. She leaves besides her aged companion, six grown children as follows; Seliah(Celia) Neal of Scioto Co.; Laney Henry of Clark county, Benjamin Allen and N.E. Allen near Willow Wood; Clarissa Smith, near Hecta and Lucretia Nance of Willow Wood.
The children were all at her bedside when the Angel of Death came to bear their mother's spirit to its heavenly reward.
Mrs Allen was 88 year, five months and 12 days old.
