Mrs. Hyman was a military wife, homemaker and mother. She traveled all over the world with her family retiring to South Carolina. She was a kind and gentle lady who was a friend to all.
She is predeceased by her husband, Leo W. Hyman, Jr., two sisters, Katherine Leviner, Anne Graham and one brother, Charlie Sports.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Hyman of Hartsville, S.C.; Ricky Hyman of Effingham, S.C.; Jeffrey Hyman of Tim-monsville, S.C.; two brothers, George Sports of Charleston, S.C.; William Sports of Effingham, S.C.; three sisters, Bertha Purvis of Maggie Valley, N.C.; Mattie Calcutt and Margie Lee, both of Florence, S.C. She had 5 grandchildren; Kelly, Sam, Heather, Keith, and Brandy as well as 6 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Cain Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Florence National Cemetery directed by Cain Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the American Heart Association , 181 E. Evans Street, BTC-009 Suite 200, Florence, S.C. 29506.
