Television Producer. Under the name Joan Wilson, she was a television producer for WGBH in Boston, Massachusetts until her death in 1985 from cancer. She was the executive producer of such shows as "Masterpiece Theatre," and creator and producer of "Mystery!" She married actor Jeremy Brett in 1977. The International Television Academy Foundation created the Joan Wilson Fellowship award to honour her memory and to acknowledge excellence in the art for which she was best known.
