Services for Sam E. Beall of Wesson are 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, at Wesson Baptist Church with burial in Zion Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9-11 a.m. at Wesson Baptist Church. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Beall, 82, died Nov. 16, 2000, of heart failure at Beverly Healthcare in Brookhaven. He was born in Wesson to Willard Lee Beall and Jessie Pullen Beall. He attended Co-Lin Community College and received a B.A. degree from the University of Alabama.

He owned and operated the Wesson Hardware at one time and later was a salesman for Feltus Brothers Hardware in Natchez. He was a member of Wesson Baptist Church. He was an Air Force veteran of WWII, stationed in Alaska, and received an honorable discharge in 1943 to return to run his father's cotton warehouse, log and cross tie yard and cattle farm. He was named Outstanding Woodland Conservationist in Copiah County in 1981. He was a member of the American Legion.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his sister, Kathleen Beall Keenan.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Anna Beall of Wesson; his son, W. Lee Beall of Trussville, Ala.; his daughter, Mary Ann Kimbrough of Jackson; his sisters, Gwendolyn Stephens of Biloxi and Mary Nell Allen of Augusta, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the youth ministry of Wesson Baptist Church or the Sam E. and Mary Anna Beall Scholarship at Co-Lin Community College.
