David was the son of W.T. Anson Sr. and Ella Irene (Dunagan) Anson. As a young man he started out in the oilfield at Anson Production with his family. At age 30 he went to college and without stopping, earned his master's degree. He went to work for Department of Human Services with the visual service at McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City. He married Earlene Gilreath on March 5, 1965, in Seminole. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartshorne and loved his family and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He passed away at Beare Manor Nursing Center at the age of 71. Survivors include his wife, Earlene (Gilreath) Anson, of the home; one son, David Kendall Anson, of Hartshorne; grandchildren, Brian Anson, of Hartshorne, Emily Dawn Anson, of Hartshorne, Dalton Dean Anson, of Hartshorne, and Kaylee Marie Anson, of Hartshorne; mother, Irene Anson, of Seminole. Also, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Phyllis and Pat Barrett, of Seminole, and Elizabeth Brooks, of Wetumka; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Debbie Anson, of Seminole. And, two special aunts, Velma Anson, of Seminole, and Hazel Stevens, of Seminole; sisters-in-law and spouses, Betty Anson, of Seminole, Evelyn and Lee Sudduth, of Haileyville, and Polly and Dean Burke, of Hartshorne; brother-in-law and spouse, Grady and Linda Gilreath, of Bartlesville, and two special boys, Mark and Zackery Nine. He was preceded in death by his father, W.T. Anson Sr.; infant son; brother, W.T. Anson Jr.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Raymond and Rebecca Gilreath, and brother-in-law, Charles Gilreath. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery Pavilion in Hartshorne with the Rev. Clint Pope and James Cooper officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne. Pallbearers will be Jerry Anson, Chris Anson, Robert Anson, Danny Anson, Joe Anson Jr. and Eddie Anson. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Langley, Lee Sudduth, Leon Burke, Dean Burke, James Cooper, Dale Drumright, Michael Sudduth, Daniel Burke, Matt Anson and David Paul Anson.
