Lydia R. Chadwick was born on January12, 1848 in Michigan the daughter of Luther and Laura Chadwick. She came with her parents to Crawford County, Wisconsin. She was a seamstress and on Feb 19, 1870 she married a carpenter by the name of John L. Green in Crawford County. Four years later Lydia died giving birth to a baby girl who was named Phebe on March 11, 1874. The baby Phebe also died and was probably buried with Lydia.
