Bettye Jane Ebling, 94, died at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 1, 2012, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.

She was born July 12, 1918, in Bluffton to Gail B. and Mabel Francher Mumma, who preceded her in death. On June 29, 1979, she married Ronald S. Ebling, who died April 10, 2011.

Mrs. Ebling was a 1946 graduate of Bluffton High School. She had owned the Bettye Jane Dress Shop, Pandora, and through the years had worked at All Phase Electrical Supply Co., the Huntington Bank and had co-owned, with her husband, the Clock Shop on Cole Street in Lima. She attended Westside United Methodist Church, Lima. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her.

Survivors include five nieces and nephews, Sharon (Chuck) Bishop, of Findlay, David (Nancy) Steiner, of Bluffton, Larry Mumma, of Lima, Karen (Gary) Grismore, of Pandora, and James Mumma, of Van Wert; and five stepchildren, Mike Ebling, of Columbus, Randy (Cindy) Ebling, of Findlay, Diane (Max) Miller, of Cairo, Lori (Kelly) Six, of Columbus, and Scott (Barb) Ebling, of Malabar, Fla.

She was preceded in death by previous spouses, Raymond "Johnny" Walters and Paul Ley; a brother, Merlin Mumma; and a sister, Helen Steiner.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. William Cronk will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
