Paulett George, was out playing with her cousins Larry and Jerry George. The boys were lighting matches near a 50-gallon fuel drum in the back of a truck. A matched was dropped near or inside the drum and there was an explosion of flames. Jerry and Paulett sustained fatal third degree burns and died within 24 hours of the incident. Larry was hospitalized and their father was also injured trying to rescue the children.
