Obituary ~ The Chanute Daily Tribune ~ Chanute, KS ~ Monday, October 1, 1906

Golda May, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bower, who live near the west brick plant, died at 7 oclock last evening and was buried this afternoon. The funeral services were held at Zion Church and were conducted by Rev. H.L. Smith. The child was three and one-half years old. Death was caused by membraneous croup.

Died — Golda May Bower, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bower, living just north of the west brick plant. She was born May 11, 1904, died September 30, 1906, age 2 years, 5 months, and 19 days. The funeral was held at the Zion M.E. Church Monday, October 1, at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. L. H. smith, pastor of the Chanute circuit. Text: John 14-18. "I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you again." Golda May Bower has gone home to the one who said: "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven."
