He was born on February 18 1938 to the late Wayne and Elanore (Sally) Eskola in Ashland.
He was educated in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School in 1956. On September 28 1956 he entered the US Army and was honorably discharged as a Spec 4 on September 27 1958.
Bruce married Nancy A. Torgersen on January 20 1960 in Waukegan. When he came to Kenosha he worked at AMC for 7 years. Then he worked at Snap-On Tools for 30 years, retiring in January of 1997. Bruce was an avid Brewer Badger and Packer fan. He loved reading encyclopedias and loved trivia. He enjoyed fishing and in his younger years enjoyed horseback riding and hunting. He loved watching western movies on television.
Bruce is survived by his wife Nancy A of Clintonville, his two sons, Dennis C (Bev) Eskola of Kenosha and Bradley D Eskola of Kenosha; two daughters, Lori A (Joe) Tappa of Pleasant Prairie and Vicky J (Mark) Melander of Kenosha; nine grandchildren and many step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many step great grandchildren.
His grandmother Ida Eskola, who raised him, precedes him in death.
Memorial Services for Bruce will be held on Sunday July 29 2007 at 3 pm at the Bruch Funeral Home. Military Honors will follow. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1 pm until the time of service .Memorials would be appreciated to the family Bruch Funeral Home, 3503 Roosevelt Road, Kenosha WI 53142. 262-652-8298
