Hall of Fame Professional Football Player. He played quarterback for the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay Packers from 1930 to 1940, and the New York Giants from 1944 to 1945. Considered one of the earliest passers of the pro game, he led the NFL in passing in 1932, 1934 and in 1936 when he completed 77 passes for 1, 239 yards. In 1966 he was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame.
