Born in Concord,NY May 15, 1843 to Joseph Agard and Lucy M. Hartness. Enlisted in Civil War September 5, 1864.Participated in Battle of Cedar Creek and Skirmish in Newtown. He was wounded in the breast and discharged June 8, 1865. Co K, 116th Regiment New York Volunteers. His occupation was listed as Farmer. 1860 Census lists 2 children: Alfred M. Agard, 17 and Lucinda C. Agard, 15
He had hazel eyes, brown hair an was 5'8" with light complexion.
