"Funeral services were held here Monday for Homer A. Marcy, 76, long time South Plains resident who died Sunday morning at West Texas Hospital in Lubbock.
Marcy, a resident of Spur since 1940, previously had farmed in Lynn and Hockley counties.
Officiating at the services, held at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist Church, was Rev. Cal Wright, pastor. Burial was in Spur Cemetery under direction of the Campbell Funeral Home. Masonic rites were conducted at the graveside. Marcy is survived by his wife, Anna May, 4 daughters, Ovetta Williams, Mrs. James A. Coe, NM, Mrs. L. W. Wilson, Spur, and Mrs. L. O. Vaughn, OK., two sons, H. A., Jr., of Spur and A. L., Lubbock. 3 sisters, a brother, 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren."
