Obituary: Bill Glenn, age 80 of Albany, died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 9th, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bart Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held Friday evening, April 8th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morehart Mortuary of Albany.Bill Louis Glenn was born on May 10, 1930, in Graham, Texas to parents, Henry Dee Glenn and Dorothy Dale Humphrey Glenn. He and Billie Ann Edgar met in 1947 at Lueders High School and were married on November 26, 1950, at the First Baptist Church of Albany. They lived in Tuxedo and Baird before moving to Albany in 1956. In 1995, Bill retired from Jones Company after 45 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Albany. Bill was a loving husband to Billie for sixty wonderful years. He was a caring and loving "Dad" to his sons and daughter, as well as "Pepaw" to his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of their friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.Bill is survived by his wife, Billie of Albany; children, Ronnie Glenn and wife, Pam of Amarillo, Donnie Glenn and wife, Donna of Sherman and Deidra Day and husband, Clifton of Weatherford; ten grandchildren, Kari Snow, Jarrod McBride and wife, Merydith, Whitney Duffy and husband, Matt, Daniel Glenn, David Glenn, Katie Glenn, Misty Joaquin and husband, Jon, Justin Wolf, Brandon Day and wife, Shay and Jacob Day and wife, Jennifer; one sister, Bunny McElyea and husband, Jim of Chandler; brother-in-law, David Edgar and wife, Carolyn of Sugarland; sister-in-law, Jana Smith and husband, Mike of Athens; seven great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
