Mr. Bergstrom leaves his wife of 60 years, Marilyn L. (Wivagg) Bergstrom, son David Bergstrom of Shrewsbury, MA; daughter Kristen Swift of Northborough,MA; and four grandchildren.
He was born in Worcester, MA and raised in Shrewsbury, son of Adolf and Eureka (Thyden)Bergstrom. Merrill resided in Northborough, MA for most of his adult life. Mr. Bergstrom served aboard the USS Tortuga in the south Pacific during World War II.
