PETER M. SUYDAM.
Peter M. Suydam died on Thursday morning in his eighty-eighth year at his home, No. 163 West Fifty-seventh st. The funeral will be held on Monday morning at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, and the body will be placed in the family vault in the churchyard. Mr. Suydam had been a great sufferer from indigestion, and this finally caused his death. He was born in 1803 at No. 1 Broadway, and was the youngest of a large family of children, and was educated at Columbia College and graduated with high honors. After leaving college he was engaged in the dry-goods business, but was burned out in 1830. Since then he had devoted his energies to the management of his estate. Mr. Suydam was a man of great refinement and kindness of heart and was especially noted for his charities. The New York Homeopathic Hospital was a special object of his benevolence.

PETER M. SUYDAM BURIED.
The remains of Peter Mesier Suydam, the retired dry goods merchant, who died Thursday morning at his home, No. 163 West Fifty-seventh street, were interred yesterday morning in the family vault of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, at Second avenue and Tenth street. The Rev. E. F. Cushman, assistant pastor of the church, officiated. There were no pallbearers.
Among those present were Judge and Mrs. Brady, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Suydam, Henry Remsen, Louis Mesier, William Reese and Dr. and Mrs. Weiss.
