Richard Carl Anderson, 70, 305 Pearl Ave., Loves Park, died at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Anthony Hospital after a sudden illness. A native of Sweden he had lived 34 years in Loves Park. He worked as a carpenter for the Jurgensmeier Construction Co. and later as a cabinetmaker for the Hanson Clock Co. prior to retiring in 1968.
His wife the former Mildred Goodrich, died in 1967. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John Maney, Rockford; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elsa Johnson, in Sweden; and three brothers, Tage, Rockford, and Harold and Hugo, both of Sweden.
