Mrs. Louis Carter, 72 of Hillsdale, died Sunday night at Lutheran Hospital. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dailey-Gibson Funeral Home, Port Byron. The Rev. Larry Olson, pastor of Hillsdale United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be In Mount Maria Cemetery, Hillsdale. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Hillsdale United Methodist Church. The former Florence V. Vogt was born In Hillsdale. She married Louis Carter in February 1934 in Erie. She was a retired school teacher who taught for 17 years in rural Rock Island County schools. Survivors Include the widower; a son, Orwin of Franklin Lakes, N.J.; two grandsons; a sister, Mrs. Carroll Holly, and a brother, Lawrence, both of Hillsdale.
