Mary taught high school Latin for many years, first in Valley Center, Kan., for a time at Wichita University, with a career that ended at Wichita High School Southeast. Many students kept in touch for years. She had a B.A. and Masters from Wichita University. Mary worked in business for years with her husband, Clyde R. Chambers, who died in 1992. They were charter members of East Heights United Methodist Church. She worked for the Penny Power for years after her retirement and enjoyed life with travels and friends.
Survivors: daughter, Carol J. Chambers; grandson, Nicholas Chambers-Keesling both of Seattle; loving cousin, Jeanne Pointer of Wichita; numerous friends, relatives, caregivers and many people at her home at Parklane Towers have been kind to her for years. (Taken from The Wichita Eagle.)
