Funeral services for Grady O. Tubb, age 86, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Rhoades and Rev. Bruce Stinson officiating. Interment will follow at Conner Cemetery with Jerry Crabtree, Ron St. Clair, Jason Tubb, Jeremy Tubb, Kevin Keen and Steven Tubb serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Murphy, Doyle Starrett and Chuck Schaffer. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Tubb passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Mr. Tubb was born on November 13, 1924 in Dallas, TX, the son of William Brown and Vera (Griffin) Tubb. He married Betty Jo Faulkner in Ft. Worth, TX, in 1949 and she preceded him in death November of 1996. Mr. Tubb was a baker and a dairyman. He worked for over 30 years in the baking industry most recently as a general superintendent with Ben C. Williams Bakery Services. Mr. Tubb was a member of Central Baptist Church and was very active in the missionary program. Mr. Tubb was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by two sons, Scott Tubb and wife Brenda of Sulphur Springs, David Tubb and wife Shelby of Dike, six grandchildren, Jason Tubb of Sulphur Springs, Jeremy Tubb of Tucson, AZ, Amanda Morgan of Camarillo, CA, Brittanie Wallace of Dike, Jennifer Sherbo of Tucson, AZ and Kara Frank of Sulphur Springs, six great-grandchildren, Jaden Tubb, Mason Tubb, Mattison Tubb all of Sulphur Springs, Logan Morgan of Camarillo, CA, Blaise Williams of Tucson, AZ and Abby Sherbo of Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Missionary Fund, 840 Connally Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.
