Donna Mae Appelt, 72, Minot, ND, died October 16, 2005, in her home.

Donna Mae Narum was born on May 27, 1933, the daughter of Henry and Hilda (Myren) Narum in Sanish, North Dakota. She was raised and educated there and graduated from Sanish High School in 1951. Following her high school graduation, she attended Minot Business College where she graduated with honors in 1957.

Donna was married to Gerald Appelt on March 15, 1962 in Velva, ND. They made their home in Minot, where she worked for Westland Oil as a bookkeeper in the early 1960's. In the early 1980's, she worked as a bookkeeper for Minot Sash & Door.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minot and the Strawberry Lake Association for the past 30 years. For many years, she played in the Minot Pool League.

She enjoyed playing pool, reading, spending time at her cabin at Strawberry Lake and making people happy. She also enjoyed visiting with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Warren Narum; and sister, Lucille Kottsick.
