Mrs. May Cahoon and her husband Jess resided at 1009 Walnut Street in Carthage, Missouri. At the age of 41 years, 3 months & 19 days she fell out of an automobile and died from her injuries.

MRS. MAY CAHOON FATALLY HURT TODAY

Steps From Moving Car Backward and Is Thrown to Ground Lives Two Hours


Mrs. May Cahoon, 42 years old, was fatally injuried when she stepped from a moving motor car shortly after noon today near her home, 1009 Walnut Street.
The car was driven by her husband Jesse Cahoon. She stepped out backward, striking her head at the base of the skull in the fall. The skull was fractured. Mrs. Cahoon was carried into her home and a physician called. She died at 2:40 o'clock, about two hours after the accident, without having gained consciousness.

Mrs. Cahoon was born May 19, 1886 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She had been a resident of Carthage for 30 years, coming here from Little Rock. Besides her husband she is survived by four children by a former marriage.
The daughters are;
Mrs. Lula Vitula Hill of Carthage and
Mrs. Violet Liburger of Joplin

two sons;
Ezra Spry and Charles Spry both of Carthage
Her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Turner of St. James, Mo also survives.
