This John T. Olive is shown to be one month of age as of the 13th day of November in 1850 . . . that is when he first appears on the census records . . . in the Buena Vista District in Marion County, Georgia . . . that is the only census saying that he was born in Alabama . . . subsequent census records all say that he was born in Georgia . . . he was married 24 November 1875 in Williamson County, Texas to the widowed Mary Elizabeth Townsend nee SIDES . . . they are known to have had three children . . . Littleton (1876-1961) . . . William (1879-1969) . . . Amon O. (1882-1955) . . . Mary also had two children from her 1st marriage . . . Lou Etter (1870-1942) and Elizabeth (1874-1961) . . . he is last found on the census records in 1880, when he is living in Williamson County, Texas . . . a handwritten copy of an 1885 newsclipping about his death (newspaper not identified) says that he drowned in May of that year in the Brushy Creek near the Lawrence Crossing . . .

*The only places I find the middle name of Thomas is on the death certificate for one of his children, and in an undocumented handwritten account of his drowning.
