Loren Jay Ament, 45, died Friday at his home. Mr. Ament was a Naturita resident for the past 21 years, and he had worked for many years in the drilling and mining business.
Mr. Ament was born Feb 17, 1935, at Cedaredge, where he attended schools.
He and Elenor O'Bryant were married in Delta on April 2, 1954. Mrs. Ament survives.
Mr and Mrs Ament moved to Naturita in 1959, after living a short time in New Mexico and other parts of Colorado.
Mr. Ament was a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed flying, hunting, fishing, and visiting with friends.
Survivors: wife, Elenor Ament of Naturita; daughter Leslie Blood of Nucla; son, Wayne Ament of Riverton, Wyo,; father, Clifford Ament of Grand Junction; four sisters; Lorrain Core of Worland, Wyo. Audrey Young of Provo, Utah, Janeth Murphy of Grand junction, Lynne Lowdermilk of Rifle; and one grandson.
Martin's Mortuary conducted services on Monday in the LSD Church in Naturita. Burial in the Nucla Cemetery.
