KAYSVILLE – Blen Richard Morgan, 78, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007, at Davis Hospital. He was born December 11, 1928, in Layton the son of Vernon Richard and Fern Marie Anderson Morgan. Blen has resided in Kaysville his entire life.
Blen married Marilyn Jeanne Brandell on May 2, 1949, in Elko, Nevada. She preceded him in death on November 28, 1994.
He retired from Wasatch Electric after 40-plus years of service as an electrician. Blen was a member of IBEW local 354 and served in the Marines during WWII and the Korean War.
He enjoyed boating and camping and had learned to enjoy gardening. Blen was very devoted to his grandchildren and loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving are his sons Kody (Gay) Morgan, Reno, NV; Drake Morgan, Syracuse; daughter Kasi (Michael) Pierce, Layton; and grandchildren Kali, Kira, Brock, Chase, Dakota and Chance; great-grandson Isaiah. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Jeanne, son Dirk, daughter Kami, and sister Trudy Craythorn.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
