Roy A. Beatty, 71 year old retired contractor, passed away at 5 a.m. Friday, July 10, 1964 at the Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. He was a former Bedford resident.
A native of Dubois County, Mr. Beatty was born October 1, 1892 to Joseph and Elda Nolan Beatty. He married Edith Shannon and she survives.
Other survivors include four brothers, Bert Beatty of Pueblo, CO, Paul Beatty of Colorado Springs, CO, Lawton Beatty of Paoli, IN and Gerald Beatty of Glenview, IL.
Mr. Beatty was a veteran of World War One and a member of the Nazarene Church.
Last rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will be in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the Day & Carter Mortuary after noon Tuesday.
