Dean Finley, age 71, of Poyen, passed away Friday April 1, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 24, 1939, in Poyen the son of Lee and Birdie (Byrd) Finley. He was 1957 graduate of Poyen High School, and retired from the Acme Brick Company as Supervisor after 45 years service. Dean was a member of the Poyen Missionary Baptist Chruch and was a avid hunter and fissherman, loved to go camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Paul and Johnny Finley.
Survivors are his wife, Wathena (Rood) Finley to whom he married May 24, 1963. His two daughters, Debbie Montgomery and Sharon Roach and husband Tracy all of Poyen, granddaughter, Nikki Roach and host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday April 3, from 3PM until 5PM at Regency Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 10AM Monday April 4, at the Poyen Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lindsey-Poyen Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
