Ambrose Frank was the son of three and four daughters born to Ambrose A. and Josephine J. Potter Horton. He also had two half sisters and a brother by his father's second wife, Julia A. Brownlee Horton.
Ambrose Frank married Anne Marie Thuesen Horton, they had three daughters and a son. He moved to Washington state where he met his wife Anne. He had been a lumberman, manufacturer of cedar wood products, and a salesman for Seattle Radio Supply Co. He was also a F&AM of Newport Lodge #144.
