Benjamin Wiley Arnold, age72, of Curtis, passed from this life on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born on October 23, 1938 in Curtis, the son of the late Charles Benjamin and Fidella Ermina Bledsoe Arnold. Benny was a welder, a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Arkadelphia, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Arkadelphia Masonic Lodge #381. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Benny was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Billy Clyde Lamb and two sisters-in-law, Reba Manning Lamb and Mary Lamb.

Benny is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Margaret Pugh Arnold of Curtis, one daughter, Sharon (Rodney) Tuggle of Glen Rose, three sons, Benny (Kimberly) Arnold of Benton, Charles (Lisa) Arnold of Midway and Chad Arnold of Rolla, MO, one sister, Donetta (Carroll) Rogers of Curtis, one brother, Dexter Lamb of Norfolk, VA, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Bro. Nathan Rogers and Bro. Temon Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Curtis.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

Services are entrusted to Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
