Born in Kelly, New Mexico in 1903, Mary was the eldest of eight children and is survived by her daughters, Polly Serna of Santa Fe, Joann Rodriguez of Albuquerque and daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Joseph Cien of San Diego, CA; and son-in-law, Joe B. Apodaca of Los Alamos; two daughters, Nellie O'Connor and Dolores Apodaca are deceased. Surviving brothers and sisters include Laddy Tafoya and Aurelia Ortiz of Albuquerque, sister and brother-in-law, Lupe and Bernie Montoya of Mesa, AZ; and sisters-in-law, Clara Tafoya of Bosque Farms and Marcella Tafoya of Globe, AZ. Mary was the beloved mother of five daughters, grandmother of 17, great-grandmother of 30, and great-great-grandmother of seven grandchildren.
