Mary was born in Huntsville, Alabama on July 21, 1940 to Wilson and Cora Solway and came to California with her family in the early 40's residing in the East Bay with her siblings, Larry, Tommy, and Erlene.
Mary lived in Rodeo for the past thirty-two years with her husband Bill. Mary loved being with her family and her little dog, Candy, poker tournaments and shopping!! She was small but mighty with a fun sense of humor and a great heart.
She leaves behind, her loving and devoted husband of thirty-five years, Bill Abbott; one son, Mark Abbott of Hawaii; two daughters, Jackie Fickes of Pacheco, Patricia Santori of Fairfield; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Skyview Funeral Chapel, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo. Services conducted at Skyview Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Scott Peterson officiating.
