Robert Byrum, 79, of Dover, died Thursday, April 24, 2003 at Russellville Nursing Center. The son of Roy and Iva Standridge Byrum, he was born March 10, 1924 in Dover. He was a Santa Gertrudus cattle farmer and was a member of Dover Masonic Lodge where he had received his 50 year pin. He was preceded in death by his parents and and his wife, Ruth Byrum.

Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Robert L. and Tammy Byrum of Dover; a daughter and son in law, Mary Sue and Ed McNutt of Conway; a sister and brother in law, Sue and Joe Cooper of Benton; a niece, Missy Skinner of Benton; a stepson, Jerry Hurley of Russellville; two step daughters, Sandy Chronister of Dover, and Eva Eden; four grandchildren, Jessica Byrum of Dover, Angela Byrum of Dover, Mandy Hanson of Magnolia, JoAnne Wooldridge of Conway.

Funeral service will be 10 am Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at the Humphrey Chapel officiated by Brother Glenn Tropp. Burial will be at Phoenix Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Department of Health Hospice,.
