Hazel A Manzel

Hazel Alice Manzel, 70, of 671 Grant, died Tuesday Jan. 6, 1987, at her home of
heart failure.
She was born Jan. 23, 1916, in North Ogden, a daughter of Orson L and Nancy Blodgett
Taylor.
She married Carl Walter Manzel June 21, 1934, in Ogden. The marriage was later
solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Dec. 18, 1967.
She was a member of the Lomond View LDS Ward and had been active in Relief Society,
Primary, Sunday School, and MIA. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She
had been employed at the Golden Manor Nursing Home. She was a lifelong resident of the
Ogden area.
Surviving are one son and one daughter, Carl L Manzel, North Ogden; Mrs Richard
(Arlene) Love, Ogden; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one
sister, Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Fink, Arimo, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden with Bishop
Thomas E. Lucas of the Lomond View Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary
Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday until 12:45 p.m.
Interment will be in the North Ogden Cemetery.
